Signature for iOS

Terms of Use

Effective date: July 15, 2026

These terms describe the permitted use and limitations of the Signature app.

Using Signature

Signature lets you import or create documents, add visual signatures or typed text, save the result as a PDF, and export or print that PDF. You may use the app only for lawful purposes and only with documents you are authorized to access and sign.

Electronic signature limitations

Signature places a visual image or typed text onto a document. It does not verify identity, notarize a document, issue a digital certificate, create a certificate-based cryptographic digital signature, or provide legal advice.

You are responsible for deciding whether the resulting document and signature method are valid and enforceable for your transaction and jurisdiction. Obtain professional advice when legal certainty is required.

Your documents and content

You retain responsibility for your documents, signatures, photos, and text. You confirm that you have the rights and authority needed to use that content and that it does not violate applicable law or another person's rights.

Storage and backups

The app stores documents and signing elements locally. You are responsible for keeping copies of important source and signed documents. Deleting app data, removing the app, device failure, or changes to backup settings may make local files unavailable.

Document conversion

DOCX files and photos may be converted to PDF. Formatting, fonts, page breaks, and image quality can differ from the source. Review every converted document before signing, saving, or sharing it.

Availability

We may update, change, or discontinue features. The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law, without a guarantee that every document format or workflow will work without interruption or error.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the app, reliance on a document's legal validity, formatting changes, data loss, or a third-party service selected through sharing or printing.

Apple terms

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms, including the Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
