Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Signature does not require an account and does not use a developer-operated backend for your documents or advertising SDKs. We do not collect your documents, file names, signatures, photos, or typed signing text. The third-party services used by the app receive only the limited analytics and purchase information described below.

Analytics and diagnostic data

Signature uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve the product. Firebase may collect automatic app lifecycle and usage events, an app instance identifier, app version, device and operating system information, language and time zone, and an approximate region derived by Google from the device's IP address.

We do not send document contents, file names, signatures, photos, or typed signing text to Firebase. We do not set developer-defined user IDs, use Firebase for advertising, access the advertising identifier (IDFA), or use this data for cross-app tracking.

Google processes Firebase Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

Subscriptions and purchase data

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card or bank account details.

Signature uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, unlock and restore Signature Pro access, prevent purchase fraud, and understand subscription performance. RevenueCat may receive purchase history and transaction or receipt information made available by Apple, subscription product and status information, and a randomly generated anonymous app user identifier.

We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, phone number, a developer-defined account identifier, the advertising identifier (IDFA), or your Firebase app instance identifier. Documents, file names, signatures, photos, and typed signing text are never sent to RevenueCat. RevenueCat is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

RevenueCat processes this information under its Privacy Policy. Apple processes purchases and payment information under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Local document processing

PDF and DOCX files, scanned pages, selected photos, drawn signatures, photographed signatures, and typed text are processed on your device. DOCX conversion uses components bundled with the app and does not upload the source document to our servers.

Camera, Photos, and Files

• Camera access is requested only when you scan a document or photograph a signature.
• Photo access is used only for items you choose through the system photo picker.
• File access is limited to files you select through the system file picker.

Sharing, printing, and Apple services

When you use the system Share Sheet, save to a location outside the app, or print a document, the destination or printer service you select may receive the exported document under its own privacy terms. Depending on your device and Apple settings, app data may also be included in Apple-provided device backups. We do not control those services.

Support messages

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include in your message. The app may add its version, build number, general device type, and iOS version to help diagnose the issue. It does not add document names or document contents.

Data retention and deletion

Documents and reusable signing elements remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or use Delete All Documents & Signatures in Settings. Temporary conversion and export files are removed by the app or by iOS as temporary storage is cleaned.

Firebase and RevenueCat retain analytics and purchase information according to their respective policies and as needed to provide analytics, maintain purchase history and subscription access, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Some App Store transaction records are controlled and retained by Apple.

No sale or advertising tracking

We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or use analytics or purchase data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Security

Local processing limits transmission of sensitive files, but no storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode and keep backups when a document is important.

Children's privacy

Signature is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
